Hubungan Status Sosial Siswa Dengan Pembentukankelompokpertemanan Di Smk Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru

Social status is the level of one position in society. All individual will need other individuals in living their lives. People will form a group according to the goals and desires they want to achive together. Social status itself is formed by a persons efforts in achieving the level of social status that he wants to achive. This research was conducted at one of the privat school in Pekanbaru city, namely SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This research aims to find out namly: 1) to find out the basis of the formation of student friendship groups at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. 2) to find out the social status of students. 3) to find of the relantionship between studens social status and the formation or friendship groups. In this study using this type of inferetial quantitative method, with a total popalation of 351 students in all majors. Researchers obtained a sampel size of 187 respondents who were randomly selected using simple random sampling. Based on the results of researh at SMK Muhammdiyah 2 Pekanbaru that the sosial status owned by students is inculded in the high category. In the formation of friendship groups there are also high result, but if it is corellated using the help of spss 26 between social status and the formation of friendship groups the result are very weak an do not have a significant relantionship. So that there are other factors that affect the relantionship.
