Analisis Pengaruh Pengeluaran Pemerintah Bidang Pendidikan Dan Kesehatan Terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Manusia Di Provinsi Riau

The issue of human development in Riau Province and even Indonesia is not a new issue. The Human Development Index, is a benchmark that is often used to see the quality of human resources with 3 methods namely; 1) Life Expectancy, 2) Expected Years of Schooling, and 3) Gross National Product (GNP).
The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of government spending on education and health on the Human Development Index in Riau Province. The type of data in this research uses secondary time series data, which is obtained from government agencies, namely the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2008-2022. The data analysis model used in this study is a multiple linear regression model with the help of the SPSS.25 programme.
The results of the regression analysis show that government spending on education has a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index in Riau Province. Government spending on health has a negative effect on the Human Development Index in Riau province.
Partial and simultaneous test results also show that government expenditure variables in education and health have an effect on the Human Development Index in Riau Province.
