Potensi Simpanan Karbon di Ruang Terbuka Hijau Taman Rekreasi Alam Mayang Kota Pekanbaru
Climate change causes global warming which results in an increase in temperature on earth. FOLU Net Sink is a government program by utilized land to reduce the rate of carbon emissions. Alam Mayang Recreation Park is one of the land uses that can reduce carbon emissions in Pekanbaru City. This study aims to determine the potential of carbon stock in Alam Mayang Recreation Park. The method used is census by measuring all trees in the field with non-destructively. Observation parameters include surface carbon, subsurface carbon, and soil carbon. Research results show that potential carbon stock in Alam Mayang Recreation Park was obtained at 94.46 tons/ha with a total area of 20.80 ha vegetated area. The carbon stock is obtained from three carbon pools, namely: 50.01% of surface carbon stock, 18.49% of subsurface carbon stock, and 31.50% of soil carbon stock
