Potensi Simpanan Karbon Pada Petak Ukur Permanen Hutan Desa Rawa Mekar Jaya Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau

Forests are one of the natural resources that have many benefits, one of which is to stock carbon. One type of forest with a lot of carbon stock potential is peat swamp forest. Riau is one of the areas dominated by peat swamp ecosystems. One of the areas in Riau that is dominated by peat swamp ecosystems is Siak Regency. This study aims to calculate and determine the potential biomass and carbon stock in Permanent Measurement Plots of Rawa Mekar Jaya Village Forest, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This research was conducted in February-March 2023. This research was conducted using dextructive and non-destructive methods. The area of the permanent measuring plot is 1 hectare which is divided into 25 plots measuring 20 x 20 meters. The results of this research Permanent Measurement Plots of Rawa Mekar Jaya Village Forest have a total biomass stock potential of 48.273,16 tons/ha and a total carbon stock potential of 1.177,35 tons/ha. Details of carbon stock potential in each carbon pool are upper surface carbon 101.34 tons/ha, litter carbon 1.14 tons/ha, necromass carbon 0.02 tons/ha, soil carbon 1,048.43 tons/ha, lower surface carbon 26.42 tons/ha.
