Prarancangan Pabrik Etil Asetat Dari Asetaldehid Dan Etanol Proses Davy Dengan Desain Alat Utama Reaktor Hidrogenasi (R-101)
ABSTRACT
Industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly due to increasing community needs. One of the industries that continues to increase is the chemical industry, such as the paint, ink, perfume and cosmetics industries. One of the compounds used in this industry is ethyl acetate. Imports of ethyl acetate continue to increase every year. Indonesia currently imports 85,000 tonnes/year of ethyl acetate, so an ethyl acetate factory needs to be built to meet Indonesia's needs. An ethyl acetate factory from acetaldehyde and ethanol is planned to be built in Demak City, Central Java with a capacity of 28,000 tons / year. Ethyl acetate is produced using the Davy process. The main tool design is a Reactor (R-101) which functions to hydrogenate ethanol into ethyl acetate. The main product produced is ethyl acetate with a purity of 99.1% and the side product is 76% crotonaldehyde. Based on the results of the economic feasibility of the factory, an ethyl acetate factory from acetaldehyde and ethanol is feasible to be established with a PBP of 2.95 years. IRR is 22.76%. The ROI is 160.16%, and the BEP is 45% which is higher than BRI's RRR value of 2.25%, so this ethyl acetate factory is feasible to build.
