Prarancangan Pabrik Asam Akrilat Dari Gliserol Proses Dehydration-Oxydation Dengan Desain Alat Utama Reaktor Dehidrasi Gliserol (R-101)
ABSTRACT
Acrylic acid is an organic compound used as a raw material in the production of polymers, paints, resins, and flocculants for wastewater treatment, and is also utilized in the textile and cosmetic industries. The production of acrylic acid in this plant uses the Dehydration-Oxidation process. The plant is planned to operate for 330 days per year, running continuously 24 hours a day with a capacity of 32,000 tons per year, and will be established in Bandar Lampung, Lampung. The chosen business structure is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational system. Employee shifts are divided into shift and non-shift workers. The main equipment in this plant is the Dehydration Reactor (R-101). The economic analysis of the plant's design shows that it is feasible to be established. Based on the economic feasibility study, the acrylic acid plant from glycerol is viable with a PBP of 2 years and 11 months, an IRR of 22.71%, an ROI of 24.26%, and a BEP of 40.17%.
