Keanekaragaman Jenis Capung (Odonata) Di Kawasan Kampus Universitas Riau Sebagai Rancangan Booklet Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati Kelas X Sma
The learning process has several learning components that must be present so that educational goals can be achieved. One component in learning is learning resources. One place in Riau that can be used as a potential local learning resource is the Riau University campus. The Riau University campus is one of the university areas, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This campus has many fruit gardens and other plants. Apart from plants, the Riau University campus still has potential fauna, one of which is dragonflies. Dragonflies are part of the order Odonata with the suborders Anisoptera and Zygoptera. Dragonflies have a body consisting of a head (Caput), chest (Thorax), and stomach (Abdomen). Dragonflies have a role in maintaining ecosystem balance, namely as predators of other animals such as larvae, flies, small butterflies, planthoppers, mosquitoes, and even fellow dragonflies. Apart from being predators, dragonflies can also be used as indicators of environmental pollution (bioindicators).
The aim of this research is to determine the diversity of dragonfly species (Odonata) in the Riau University campus area and to integrate the research results to be used as teaching material. booklet Biodiversity material for class X SMA. This research consists of two stages. The first stage is identifying the type of dragonfly based on its morphological characteristics. Then proceed with calculating the diversity index of the species obtained. The second stage is designing teaching materials booklets by integrating the results of research that has been carried out. Then proceed with the validation booklet. The research was carried out in the Riau University campus area and dragonfly sampling was carried out at three stations, namely station I at Faperika Reservoir, station II at Lake Unri, and station III at Gedung Gasing. The time for conducting the research will take place from July to September 2024.
The results of research into the diversity of dragonfly species in the Riau University campus area found 14 species of dragonflies from 3 different families. Meanwhile, the diversity index at station I is 2.39 and is the highest index value compared to station II and station III. This is because at station I there is a food

source, namely other insects such as mosquitoes, crickets, flies and gnats. Apart from food sources at station I there are water sources, aquatic plants namely apu-apu (Pistia stratiotes), and on the edges of station I there is grass and bushes. These plants are used as perches and are also a source of food for dragonflies because they are a place to live for other small insects which the dragonflies will prey on. At station II, the diversity index obtained was 2.19 and was the lowest index value of station I and station III. This is because station II is a place where there are many activities and activities carried out by students which cause disruption to the survival of dragonflies. Meanwhile, station III has a diversity index of 2.27 and is an index value that is higher than station II and lower than station I. This is because the environmental conditions of the gasing building, precisely in the swamp area, have wet land and have calm waters. Areas that have wet land are favored by dragonflies because these areas are suitable for laying dragonfly eggs. Then the results of research on the diversity of dragonfly species are integrated into the design of teaching materials booklet and validated, getting an average score of 2.9 in the valid category.
The diversity index for dragonfly species in the Riau University Campus area is classified as moderate, which means that stations I, II and III have ecosystem conditions that are still in good condition and balanced. Meanwhile, the design of teaching materials booklet which has been validated by two validators falls into the meaningful valid category booklet which has been designed to be suitable for students to use in learning.
