Analisis Dan Evaluasi Kriteria Green Building Pada Gedung Student Center Universitas Riau Menggunakan Perangkat Penilaian Greenship Untuk Bangunan Baru Versi 1.2
ABSTRACT
The building and construction sector contributes significantly to global climate change, accounting for approximately 21% of global greenhouse gas emissions, 34% of global energy use, and 37% of energy and process-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 2022. Therefore, the application of the green building concept is an important solution to reduce environmental damage and minimize carbon emissions from construction activities. This concept has the potential to save up to 84 gigatons of CO2 (GtCO2) and 50% of energy, with only a 5% increase in construction over the next 40 years (around 2050). In addition, the operational cost of electrical energy can be saved by 20%-30%. This research aims to analyze and evaluate the implementation of green building in Student Center Building of Riau University based on Greenship Assessment Tool for New Buildings Version 1.2. UNRI SC Building has met all eligibility criteria, as well as five prerequisite criteria, namely in the ASD, WAC, MRC, IHC, and BEM categories. The actual point of green building implementation in UNRI SC Building is 31 points (30.7%), which has not reached the minimum value to obtain a bronze rating. However, after the evaluation, the points increased to 52 points (51.5%), so that if ranked the building has the potential to get a silver rating in the application of green building.
