Perancangan Simulasi Boost Converter Dengan Mppt (Maximum Power Point Tracking) Berbasis Algoritma P&O (Perturb And Observe) Untuk Pengisian Baterai Mobil Listrik Menggunakan Pane Surya
ABSTRACT
Solar energy is an abundant source of environmentally friendly renewable energy and has great potential to be used in charging electric vehicle batteries. However, one of the main challenges in the adoption of electric vehicle charging using solar energy is an efficient and fast battery charging process. This research aims to design and analyze the use of boost converter and maximum power point tracking (MPPT) based on perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm. MPPT serves to maximize the power generated by solar panels by keeping the system operating at the maximum power point. In addition, the use of a buck converter is proven effective in reducing power losses and maintaining voltage stability during the electric vehicle charging process. The results showed that the application of the boost converter with MPPT based on the Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm was able to increase the charging efficiency of 95%. In addition, the boost converter MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) based on the Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm is able to charge the battery for 4.54 hours when the State of Charge (SoC) is 10%.
