Improving the quality of education is one of the main focuses in national development in Indonesia. One strategic step that can be taken is to develop innovative teaching materials that support effective and efficient learning

processes. An effective learning process not only depends on the clear delivery of material, but also on how the material is presented so that it can attract attention and increase student interest. After conducting a pre-survey for biology learning for class.
The 2013 curriculum demands student center learning, which means that it is no longer the teacher who is the center of learning but the students themselves, both offline and online. The learning resources used in schools are printed LKPD which do not fully present interactive, interesting and effective methods that trigger increased student interest in learning. One of the right solutions to minimize time, costs and achievements in the demands of the 2013 curriculum is to develop Mind Mapping-based E-LKPD to increase students' interest in learning.
Based on the results of pre-surveys in several schools, one of the material concepts that is quite complex and difficult for class X high school students to understand is the animal kingdom material. In the Basic Competencies (KD) of the 2013 curriculum, revised 2018, the animal kingdom material is found in KD 3.9 Group animals into phyla based on body layers, body cavities, body symmetry and reproduction, and basic competency 4.9 Present a comparative report on the complexity of the layers that make up the animal's body (diploblastic and triploblastic), body symmetry, body cavities and reproduction.
This research was carried out in two locations, namely on the Biology Education Study Program campus, FKIP, Riau University and at SMAIT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. This type of research is a development that refers to the R&D research approach using the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of 5 stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluate. In this research, researchers only conducted research up to the Development stage. The research procedure starts from curriculum analysis, teaching material analysis, concept analysis, and student analysis. Next, design and develop E-LKPD based on mind mapping. After the complete E-LKPD is produced, validation is carried out by 4 validators to see whether or not the results of the E-LKPD development that have been designed are valid or not. Next, phase I testing was carried out to

determine student responses to the E-LKPD being developed. Then, phase II trials were carried out on 15 students at SMAIT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru to find out students' responses to mind mapping-based E-LKPD in increasing students' interest in learning which had been developed.
The research results show that the E-LKPD developed has very good practicality based on validation from experts and trials. The validation test by a team of experts showed an average validity value of 3.89 with a very valid category. The results of the phase I limited trial, the average response result on the E-LKPD was 3.74 in the very good category, while the phase II limited trial produced an average score of 3.72 in the very good category. The design, appropriateness of content and language aspects of the E-LKPD have met the eligibility criteria in the very good category in all aspects.
Based on the results of the validation and limited trials that have been carried out, it can be concluded that mind mapping-based E-LKPD in increasing students' interest in learning in animal kingdom material has very valid/very good practicality so that it can be implemented on a wide scale.
