Peran Buruh Tani Perempuan Dalam Meningkatkan Perekonomian Keluarga (Studi Kasus Buruh Cungkil Kelapa Di Desa Pengalihan Kecamatan Keritang Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir)

This research was conducted in Pengalihan village, Keritang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency with the aim of explaining the role and obstacles of women in improving the family economy by workers who contribute to gouging work. The number of subjects in this research were 5 people, 1 (Coconut Toke) and 4 coconut chip workers. The theory used is role theory. The results of the research show that female jobber workers in Pengalihan village have quite a big role in improving their family's economy so that they can fulfill their daily needs such as household equipment, children's school fees and also their savings. With the contribution of women in fulfilling the family's needs, the economy is quite stable because the income of jobbers can start from Rp. 2,000,000-Rp. 5,000,000 within 3 months and depending on how much they do, for workers with that kind of income is enough help and improve her family's economy while also being able to help her husband in earning a living. Meanwhile, the obstacles encountered in their work can be seen in internal obstacles such as limited education, which is still low, so many women work according to the skills they have, conditions in the field when working, health and safety, physical conditions which are quite tough, as well as external obstacles, namely this work depends on the weather and the work is seasonal/harvest.
