Eksistensi Kafe Remang-Remang Di Kelurahan Lipat Kain Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Kabupaten Kampar
Dimly lit cafes are non-formal businesses that contain social deviations and violate values and norms that exist in society. Businesses with negative stigmas certainly make cafe owners try to ensure that their businesses can operate safely and be accepted by the surrounding community. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of activity that shows the existence of dimly lit cafes and to determine the owner's efforts to maintain the existence of dimly lit cafes. The subjects in this study were 7 people who were selected using the Purposive Sampling technique, consisting of 5 main informants as cafe owners and who had experience managing dimly lit cafes for at least 2 years, 1 key informant as a local resident and building owner, and 1 additional informant as a dimly lit cafe worker. The data collected were secondary data and primary data, through observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data collected used qualitative analysis. The results of the study found that there were forms of activity that showed the existence of dimly lit cafes, namely additional services, certain symbols and building forms. Of course, there was rejection from the community for these forms of activity which made cafe owners try to keep their businesses going, namely with two efforts, internal and external efforts. Internal efforts include employee loyalty, marketing strategies and customer compensation. Furthermore, external efforts include environmental adjustment, building relationships and implementing agreed values and norms.
