Analisis Pengaruh Sudut Kemiringan Turbin Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro Tipe Turbin Ulir
ABSTRACT
Microhydro Power Plant (PLTMH) is an efficient renewable energy solution for areas with low water flow rates. One of the most commonly used turbines in this system is the screw turbine (Archimedes Screw), which operates optimally at low inclination angle differences (Head). This study aims to analyze the effect of varying screw turbine inclination angles on system performance, including turbine rotational speed, hydraulic power, torque, turbine efficiency, as well as generator voltage and electrical power output. The study was conducted using a screw turbine with three blades and three screws, with inclination angle variations of 10º, 20º, 30º, 40º, 50º, and 60º. The water flow rates used in this research were 0.008 m³/s, 0.014 m³/s, and 0.016 m³/s. The results showed that the highest efficiency was achieved at a 50º inclination angle with a water flow rate of 0.016 m³/s, producing a generator voltage of 9.95 V, a turbine rotational speed of 259 rpm, and an electrical power output of 13.03 W. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the turbine inclination angle significantly affects system performance. The 50º inclination angle is the optimal condition that yields the highest efficiency in generating electrical power. This study can serve as a reference for further development in optimizing microhydro power plants utilizing screw turbines in areas with low water flow.
