Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Keputusan Pembelian Jeruk Siam Di Pasar Arengka Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Siam oranges were one of the most popular fruits among the people of Pekanbaru. This fruit was not only delicious but also had many health benefits. However, due to the intense competition in the fruit market, it was important to understand the factors that influenced the purchasing decisions of Siam oranges at Arengka Market, Pekanbaru. This study aimed to identify the characteristics of consumers who purchased Siam oranges at Arengka Market and to identify consumer perceptions regarding price, product quality, and the location of Siam orange sales at Arengka Market. The method used was a survey method with descriptive data analysis using a Likert scale range. The sample in the study consisted of 30 people, selected using purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that most consumers of Siam oranges at Arengka Market were male, aged between 18–30 years, self-employed, with a high school education level and an average income of around IDR 500,000.00 – IDR 1,500,000.00. Consumer perceptions of the price, product quality, and sales location of Siam oranges at Arengka Market were categorized as very good. This was because the price of Siam oranges was very affordable, competitive, and in line with the product quality, such as its sweet taste and medium fruit size. In addition, the sales location was also considered very comfortable and clean, with neatly arranged products in a strategic and easily accessible place.
