Pengaruh Umpan Berbeda Terhadap Hasil Tangkapan Bubu Payung Di Perairan Sungai Kampar Desa Kuok Kabupaten Kampar
This study aims to determine the effect of using different types of bait on the catch results of umbrella traps (bubu payung) in the Kampar River, Kuok Village. The research was conducted over a period of 10 consecutive days using three types of bait: coconut pulp (ampas kelapa), rice bran (dedak padi), dan oil palm fruit waste (berondolan sawit),. The research method used was a field experiment with a randomized block design (RBD), in which each bait type was applied to several traps placed in similar aquatic environments. Data collected included the number and types of fish caught each day. The results showed that there were significant differences in catch results among the different bait types. Oil palm fruit waste yielded the highest catch, followed by coconut pulp, while rice bran resulted in the lowest catch. These findings indicate that the type of bait has a significant effect on the effectiveness of fish capture using umbrella traps. This study recommends the use of oil palm fruit waste as the most effective bait for fish trapping in the Kampar River.
