Pengaruh Jenis Umpan Terhadap Hasi Tangkapan Ikan Sembilang (Plotosus Canius) Menggunakan Alat Tangkap Bubu Di Perairan Concong Dalam Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

Fishermen in Concong Dalam Village generally catch Sembilang fish (Plotosus Canius) using Bubu fishing gear. Pento is operated using bait as the main factor influencing the catch. Fishermen often choose Belangkas (Limulidae) as bait because it is easy to get. However, Belangkas is included in the protected animals, according to the decree of the Minister of Forestry Number: P.106 / MENLHK / SETJEN / KUM.1 / 12/2018, so it is necessary to find a more effective way to catch Sembilang fish with maximum results. The study was conducted using the experimental fishing method, namely participating in fishing operations using a bubu fishing gear that was given treatment. To test the effectiveness of each bait, a one-factor Complete Randomized Block Design method was used with 4 treatment levels. The data collected were the number of individual Sembilang fish catches (heads) and weight (grams) during the 12 days of research. The catch of Bubu was 28 catfish on the horseshoe crab bait, 18 on sago worms, 12 on the Nipah worm bait and 11 on the coconut pulp bait. So the bait that the crab likes the most is the horseshoe crab. However, the horseshoe crab bait is already protected by existing laws. Therefore, an alternative bait was obtained, namely the sago worm which is effective and legal in Indonesia..
