Peranan Kelompok Tani Dalam Peningkatan Produksi Usahatani Sayuran Di Kelurahan Air Dingin Kecamatan Bukit Raya Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the role of farmer groups in increasing vegetable production in Air Dingin Subdistrict, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. Farmer groups play a strategic role in strengthening farmers' institutions, serving as a learning class, a forum for cooperation, and a production unit. The research employed a quantitative approach, with purposive sampling used to select 30 vegetable farmers as respondents. Data were collected through surveys using structured interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis for the first objective utilized the Likert scale, while the second objective was analyzed using multiple linear regression. Classical assumption tests included normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the coefficient of determination (R²), F-test, and t-test.The results showed that the role of farmer groups as a learning class obtained an average score of 3.42 (categorized as good), as a forum for cooperation scored 2.72 (fair), and as a production unit scored 2.69 (fair). Simultaneously, all three roles had a significant effect on vegetable production, as indicated by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, the roles as a learning class and as a production unit had significant effects, while the role as a forum for cooperation did not show a significant effect, with a significance value of 0.105 > 0.05. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening farmer groups to support increased agricultural productivity.
