Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Pengelolaan Logbook Magang Berbasis Web Menggunakan Metode Prototype Di Bps Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
The conventional management of internship logbooks at the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Riau Province, which previously lacked standardized formats and clear regulations, resulted in inconsistent record-keeping, low intern discipline, and difficulties in monitoring and evaluation by supervisors. To address these issues, a web-based internship logbook management application was developed. This application was built using the Laravel framework, with essential features including digital logbook entries, internal notifications, an approval system, and data recapitulation and visualization. This study employed an experimental method with a prototype development approach. The application's quality was comprehensively tested using the FURPS+ standard, which demonstrated excellent results: Functionality achieved 100% implementation of main features, Usability (SUS) scored an average of 85–100, Reliability, Supportability, and Security (SonarQube) received 'A' ratings, and Performance (PageSpeed) showed scores of 90–99 (“Good”). Subsequently, an experiment was conducted involving interns and supervisors for five working days, followed by data collection via questionnaires. The Chi-Square test results indicated that the application had an impact on facilitating monitoring by supervisors (X² calculated = 15 > X² table = 13.28) and on intern discipline (X² calculated = 20 > X² table = 13.28), thus H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, which proves that the application has an impact on facilitating monitoring by supervisors and on the discipline of internship participants.
