Analisis Ketersediaan Air Bersih Pada Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (Pdam) Di Kabupaten Karimun Kepulauan Riau 2025
ABSTRACT
Rapid population growth in Karimun Regency has led to an increased demand for clean water. The Regional Water Company (PDAM), as the primary water provider, faces challenges in meeting this demand, particularly with limited water resources. This study aims to analyze the projected domestic water demand in 2025, calculate water availability based on reservoir volume using water level (TMA) data, estimate water loss due to evaporation, and compare the demand with the available clean water supply. The research employed a quantitative approach, using the Least Square method for population projection and annual TMA data for reservoir volume calculation. Evaporation was estimated using the Thornthwaite method. The results show that the projected population in 2025 is 33,822 people with a clean water demand of 3,044 m³/day. The available water volume after evaporation loss is 1,595,871 m³/year or about 4,371.68 m³/day. This results in a water surplus of 1,327.68 m³/day and a sufficiency level of 143.63%. These findings indicate that PDAM is still capable of meeting the clean water needs of the community in the study area. The research provides an essential basis for sustainable clean water infrastructure planning in the future.
