Kampanye Online Komunitas Belajar Zero Waste (Bzw) Pada Akun Instagram @Belajarzerowaste_Id Dalam Memperkenalkan Gaya Hidup Minim Sampah
The increasing volume of waste in Indonesia each year, along with the ongoing inadequacy of waste management efforts, continues to be a pressing environmental issue that attracts the attention of environmental activists. These activists believe that the waste problem can be addressed through collaboration between the government and society. This study discusses a zero waste campaign conducted online by the Belajar Zero Waste (BZW) community through the Instagram account @belajarzerowaste_id. The campaign delivers educational content such as waste management tips based on the principles of “Prevent, Sort, and Process,” which can be applied practically at home. The purpose of this research is to describe BZW’s online campaign activities in educating the public and encouraging behavioral change toward a low-waste lifestyle.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through interviews involving four informants. The analysis is based on the concept of digital activism, covering accessibility, visibility, popularity, and ecosystem.
The results show that Instagram was chosen for its relevance to the target audience and its creative features. Visibility was built through educational content and consistent use of hashtags. In terms of popularity, BZW actively engaged in collaborations via webinars, workshops, and support from external parties. The campaign ecosystem was strengthened by involving alumni of the Zero Waste Learning Class, who stay connected and implement zero waste principles in their respective environments.
