Pengaruh Tingkat Kemiskinan, Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja, Dan Pendidikan Terhadap Investasi Di Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine and see the effect of poverty rate, labor force
participation, and education on investment in Riau Province both partially and
simultaneously. By understanding the relationship and influence between these
variables, this research is expected to provide insights for policy makers in
designing more effective economic development strategies in Riau Province in the
future.
This research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression
analysis method. The data used is secondary data obtained from Riau Province
BAPPEDA, Riau Province Manpower Office, Riau Province Social Service and
Riau Province Education Office with a research period from 2011 to 2024.
The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between
the three independent variables on investment in Riau Province simultaneously.
Partially, poverty level has a negative influence on investment in Riau Province. In
contrast, education measured by average years of schooling has a significant
positive influence on investment in Riau Province. Furthermore, labor force
participation has no influence on investment in Riau Province. Based on the results
of the analysis, it can be concluded that a high poverty rate will reduce investment, labor
force participation will not affect investment, while high education will increase investment
in Riau Province.
Keywords: poverty, education, investment.
