Oil palm-based agroforestry management can be developed from ecological, economic, and social aspects to optimize land use to improve community welfare and conserve natural resources. Based on these conditions, several things can be formulated that occur in oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Villages, namely: What are the existing conditions of oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Villages, what factors affect the management of oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Villages and what are the management and development strategies for oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Village, Kampar Kiri Tengah District, Kampar Regency.
This study aims to analyze the existing conditions of oil palm-based agroforestry management in Penghidupan Villages, analyze factors affecting the management of oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Villages and formulate management and development strategies for oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Villages. Meanwhile, the benefits obtained from this study are that it provides information and knowledge about oil palm-based agroforestry management in Penghidupan Villages that can be used as reference materials for those in need.
Data collection was carried out using two types of data sources, primary data sources consisting of questionnaires, direct observation in the field, documentation, and in-depth interviews with parties related to the management of oil palm-based agroforestry in the Penghidupan Village. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are obtained from books and journals related to agroforestry management.
The data analysis used was descriptive and SWOT analysis. Descriptive analysis describes the subject or object of research using existing facts. Meanwhile, a SWOT analysis was used to obtain data on the management and development strategy of oil palm-based agroforestry in the Penghidupan Village, Kampar Kiri Tengah District, Kampar Regency.
The strategy obtained in the management of oil palm-based agroforestry in Penghidupan Villages in the S-O (Strenght-Opportunities) strategy, it is necessary to develop a demonstration plot to help farmers understand the long-term benefits of agroforestry because the development of demonstration plots is relatively small so that from various aspects it requires small capital. Furthermore, for agroforestry marketing management, cooperatives can be created to manage agroforestry products so that farmers can control prices and increase wider access to marketing, and oil palm-based agroforestry research is needed whose results can be applied and increase farmers' interest in adopting agroforestry as expected goals.
