Analisis ketahanan Pangan Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
The food security is resulted from network place system, consisting of
three subsystem : (1) availability of food in enough number of variety for all
people; (2) distribution of food easely and flattently; (3) consumption of
respectively individual that is according to necessary upon nutrition and health
method. Availability of food is formed by a capacibility of domestic production,
natural resources exploitation as well as import to complete between production
and requirement. Distribution of food is conducted to assure supply stability
included price of food in region and time in enabling for all of society in access
food physically and economy. In the mean time, consumption of food reformed
from increasing of domesticity in acces enough food through economic activity
productively, as well as agribusiness activity or in another activity that results
income in afford of food.
The research was conducted at Kuantan Mudik Sub-Regency of Kuantan
Singingi, whose total land and water is 1.386,47 km2. The research purpose to
analyze food security is evaluated of availability, accesbility, utilization and crisis
of food at 29 (twenty-nine) villages at Kuantan Mudik Sub-Regency in 2006; to
analyze the crisis of food levels at Kuantan Mudik Sub-Regency in 2006; and to
identify problems and efforts to increase food security at Kuantan Mudik Sub-
Regency.
The research using survey method by collecting data from sources,
consisting of chief of village, statistic’s office officer, staff of employment and
citizen office, staff of agriculture office, paramedic, and agriculture’s advisor.
The results indicate the analyzing of availability are scored 0,21 it was
definite good. Analyzing of availability indicate just in production, in distribution
will be difficult to identify. Analyzing of accesbility of food and utilization of
food are scored 0,25 and 0,20 it was definite good. Analyzing of crisis of food,
indicator is scored 0,09 it was definite excellent. It is caused more of villages in
Kuantan Mudik Sub-Regency have large forest and number of family which live
in area of disaster is minimum relatively in amount.
In overall, the results of research indicate the crisis of food levels is
belongs to resist of the crisis of food,with scored 0,19. Identifying problems and
efforts to increase the food security are based on strength and weakness factors in
Kuantan Mudik Sub-Regency. Generally, Kuantan Mudik Sub-Regency have
local potential in agriculture, rubber plantation, palm oil, but it has minimum
infrastructure that support to create the food security.
