Efektivitas Ektrak Jahe Merah Terhadap Penurunan Intensitas Nyeri Rematik Pada Lansia

The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of red ginger extract to the
decrease the intensity of arthtritic pain in elderly. The research methode uses “Quasi
Experiment” with the study design Non-equivalent Control Group. This research was
conducted at working area of the Garuda Clinic Pekanbaru on 30 elderly, the 15 people
the intervention group and 15 control group. The analysis used was Independent Sample
T-Test and Dependent Sample T-Test. The results showed the significant differences the
instensity of pain in the intervention group after being given red ginger extract and control
groups are not given red ginger extract to the value p(0,01) < α(0,005). The results of this
study showed that red ginger extract to be one form of alternative therapy in reducing
arthtritic pain.
