Migrasi Orang Bugis Dari Sulawesi Selatan Ke Kecamatan Reteh Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
Bugis or To Ugi is one of the various ethnic groups in Southeast Asia with a population of over four million people . They inhabit the southwestern part of the island of Sulawesi , due to security problems in South Sulawesi in 1951-1965 , there was a massive displacement of people Bugis, Makassar, and Toraja to other parts of Indonesia. Migration has a variety of motives. The main motive is the motive of economic migration. In the 17th century there have been settlements to Tanah Melayu Bugis society, especially in Indragiri, but the presence of the Bugis community in large numbers occurred at the end of the Dutch colonial era of the 19th century. Those settlements are scattered in several Districts, villages, trenches Indragiri Hilir. In fact there are several villages that are predominantly Bugis society. The purpose of this study was to (1) know the history of Bugis migration to Reteh Indragiri Hilir Subdistrict. (2) determine the factors that affect migration in Sub Reteh Bugis Indragiri Hilir. (3) To determine the socio-economic conditions in the district of Bugis society Reteh Indragiri Hilir. (4) To determine acculturation Bugis community in District Reteh Indragiri Hilir. (5) To determine the relationship of Bugis migrants by region of origin. The method used is the historical approach / history, population in this study amounted to 148 people, the authors took a sample of 20% of the population, the sample in this study were 30, while the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, literature, documentation, questionnaire. Then the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis of the intent of this technique is a technique which describes and illustrates the data that has been analyzed.
