In a democratic state election is one element that is vital in order to gauge whether or not a democratic country journey that is how elections are conducted by the State . Democracy is a form of government by the people to elect representatives or national leaders through a mechanism called the election . So the elections is one way of choosing representatives . Supervisory agency is typical Indonesian elections . In other countries there are no elections in the elections watchdog agency . General election in 1955 , is the first general election in Indonesia that took place in an honest and fair , not created an agency elections . Sufficiently general elections supervised by the voters , participants , and observers . In the event of violation of the administration handled the organizers , in case of criminal offenses elections followed the police and prosecutors then brought to court.
Election Supervisory Board in carrying out its duties as a field of election monitoring and handling of violations should be guided by the principle of independent, honest, fair, rule of law, order, organizer of the elections the public interest, transparency, proportionality, professionalism, accountability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
