Simulasi Pola Aliran Pada Bendung Uwai Kecamatan Bangkinang Seberang Kabupaten Kampar
Uwai weir was built to raise the water elevation of Uwai River which can be utilized to fulfil the irrigation water needs. Inundation area so called reservoir was form naturally due to the containment on Uwai River thus having ununiform topography shape. Those ununiform topography shape is causing the velocity distribution to become uneven. The velocity distribution which is uneven is also causing the different in flow pattern across the reservoir. This problem affects the trend of the reservoir bed configuration. Simulation of flow patter used two data acquisition namely quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data used contour of velocity and water depth while qualitative data used velocity vectors Velocity distribution was compared based on frequency storm of 2, 5 and 10 years It was obtained that the highest velocity was on section 3. For frequency storm of 2 years, the velocity was 0.07 m/s, 0.078 m/s for 5 years frequency storm and 0.08 m/s for 10 years frequency storm. After the highest velocity was found, the area of which the sedimentation occurred can be determined.
