Pembuatan Briket Desain Fire Dough Menggunakan Serbuk Gergaji Dan Oli Bekas
Conventional biomass briquettes are usually made through several stages including briquetting process. An innovation can be done to negate the briquetting process such as used motor oil additive and innovative design of the form of briquettetes as a donut (fire dough). In this study, the studied variables are the effect of the amount of glue and a particle size of the flame time. Sawdust 50 grams of various sizes (40 mesh and mixture), mixed with 15 ml of waste oil. A number of glue starch (10%, 15%, 20%, 25%) was added to the mixture of powder and oil. Then the mixture was formed to fire dough design then dried for 3-4 days. The results showed that the best sawdust briquettes had size above 40 mesh with 25% starch glue and had a water content of 7.3%, ash content of 0.75, the rate of combustion of 1.75 g/min, the compressive strength of 11.84 kg/cm2 and acalorific value of 5054 cal/g.
