The number of crimes that occurred in the city's public transportation Pekanbaru making public transport users feel comfortable and safe when using the transport service. The research objective of this thesis, namely: First, to determine the role of Pekanbaru City Police Station in preventing crime in public transport Pekanbaru, second, to determine the constraints faced by the Police Station in the city of Pekanbaru in preventing crime in public transport Pekanbaru, Third, to know the efforts that will be made by the city of Pekanbaru Police Resort to overcome obstacles in the face in preventing crime in public transport Pekanbaru.
From the research, there are three main problems that can be concluded. First, the role of Resort City Police in Preventing Crime Pekanbaru in Pekanbaru City Public Transportation, patrols, raids coordinated with the Pekanbaru City Department of Transportation. Second, Constraints faced in preventing crime in public transport by Pekanbaru City Police Station, First, the lack of human resources, Second, public transport is always moving and moving, Third, lack of facilities and infrastructure. Third, efforts were made to overcome the obstacles faced in preventing crime in public transport by Pekanbaru City Police Station. First, hold a vocational education to members of the police force, the Second, make advertising information phone number authorities in the streets, Third, adding facilities and infrastructure.
