Pemanfaatan Limbah Aluminium Foil Kemasan Susu Untuk Sintesis Koagulan Cair Pac (POLY ALUMINIUM CHLORIDE) Dan Aplikasi Pada Air Gambut
Waste of milk package can be found in our environment. The contain of aluminium in this waste can utilized to make liquid coagulant Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC). The method that used in this process was partial hydrolysis using HCl 33% and Na2CO3 25% for polimeration, with variation mass of sample 1 and 2 g of foil aluminium and variaton of polymerisation times 24, 48, and 72 h. The coagulant PAC was characterized based on SNI 06-3822-1995 and characterized functional group by used FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red). In generally synthesis coagulant was success synthezied from milk package that suitable with SNI 06-3822-1995. Optimum time in synthesis PAC was taked by PAC D with mass 2 gram and polimeration time was 24 h. Performance coagulant effective in removed of smell, turbidity, colour, Totas Solid Suspended (TSS), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS). But pH still acid and not suitable with standar PERMENKES No. 492/MENKES/IV/2010 About Requirement of Quality Drink Water and PP No 82 Tahun 2001 About Manage Quality of Water and Waste Water.
