Streotip that is beeing a background in a live of man and woman become unclear, for example in legal treatment to man and woman. In article 27 pargraph 1 is described clearly about the equality of man and woman in law, but different based on physic and psycology side. Woman is as a motherhood identically with feminine person that unable in doing a criminality, but now a woman can do the criminality as a man done.
Prison is totally change the patterns of life. There is a system that as a gap with the outside. The role and status of them is becoming nothing as a prisoner. It is not easy to adapt as a prisioner. It is need a complicated process in doing adaptation. The goal of this research is to descibe the main point of prison for the woman prisioners, to describe the patterns of life of woman in adaptation, also to describe the factors of succesfull in adaptation. In using the qualitative method with institution totally theoryfrom Erving Goffman and Anomie from Robert K.Merton, showed that the woman prisioners concluded the prison is a place that limiting theirselves with their own life before. They try to find the comfortable and safety groupfor them according to the natural basic, psycho, and their social. The succes factors in adaptation are internal and external. The internal factors are frame of reference and frame of experience. And the external factors are room condition, roomate, police action, program and the event inside also the periode of punishment.
