Durabilitas Beton Opc Dan Opc Pofa Dengan Menggunakan Air Gambut Sebagai Air Pencampur Di Lahan Gambut
The use of peat water in construction in Riau Province caused by low air cleanliness. The content of organic compounds present in peat air can attack the concrete, so the quality of concrete decreases. This study examines the durability of concrete by direct curing in peatlands. Concrete variation using 100% OPC cement and 90% OPC concrete + 10% POFA. Testing of concrete durability such as compressive strength, sorptivity, weight change, ultrasonic pulse velocity and visual and acid penetration with 7, 28, 91 and 120 days immersion in peatland. By mixing normal water and 10% substitution of POFA has compressive strength increase. Similar results were also seen in OPC POFA concrete with curing in peatlands, concrete increased compressive strength by 9,76% at the age of 91 and 120 days. 100% OPC concrete by using durable peat water mixer has compressive strength increased until at age 28 days and decreased compressive strength by 9,58% at the age 91 and 9,80% at the age of 120 days. Testing of sorptivity show concrete using peat water as mixing water with 10% POFA has higher sorptivity value than other concrete variations at age 7 and 28 days but at age 91 days decreased sorptivity value of 9,25% and 9,89% at the age of 120 days. Testing of change weight shows concrete with curing on peatland increased by 0.84% until 56 days but at the age of 120 days the concrete has decrease weight change 0.35%. Test of Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity by 100% OPC concrete and 90% OPC + 10% POFA using normal water as mixing water and 90% OPC + 10% POFA using peatwater mixing water have good quality until 120 days because wave velocity ultrasonic > 3.5 km/s. However OPC G concrete has good quality until the age of 91 days and at the age of 120 days the quality is doubtful. Testing of visual visual concrete with curing in normal water at age 7 and 120 days has a clear color on the surface but concrete with curing on peatwater has brown surface. Acid penetration of concrete with curing in normal water at the ages 7 and 120 days has a deeper purple color compared to curing concrete in peatlands. Based on the test results can be concluded the use of POFA as a substitution of cement can increase the durability of concrete in peatland.
