The criminal act of corruption is a very serious problem, because it can endanger the stability and security of the State and society, endangering the socio-political and economic development of society, and may also damage the democratic values and morality of the nation because it can impact civilize the criminal act of corruption. In connection with the advancement of communication technology, information, and computers, it certainly can not be denied has created a new social order and value system. Evidence which is acknowledged by the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) in Article 184 paragraph (1) does not contain electronic information proof and electronic document, so by looking at the condition of setting up electronic evidence in Indonesia, electronic evidence Is still partial because electronic evidence can only be used as a substance in certain criminal acts.
The issues discussed are first, regarding the criteria that judges consider in determining the strength of electronic information proof and electronic documents in cases of corruption. Secondly, regarding the minimum limit of the power of electronic information proof and electronic document in case of corruption criminal case. Third, regarding the difference in the strength of proof of electronic information proof and electronic document in the case of criminal corruption cases with other evidence.
The research method used is sociological legal research, which is research directed at a study that discusses the enactment of positive law, the enactment of positive law against social life, the influence of non-legal factors on the establishment of the provisions of positive law and the influence of non-legal factors Against the enactment of the provisions of positive law. In data collection, the data types used in this study are primary and secondary data, ie directly through written data and interviews from the Pekanbaru District Court, Law Number 11 of 2008 Information and Electronic Transactions, Criminal Procedure Code KUHAP), legal journals and research related books. The data analysis is done qualitatively and deductively deduced.
From the results of research conducted by the authors of the power of information proof and electronic document in the case of criminal corruption cases menegrti that the electronic information proof and electronic document is an extension of evidence evidence that has set the criteria, minimum limits, and differences of evidence of electronic information and documents Electronics with other evidence.
