Profil Vertikal Fosfat Di Danau Diatas Kabupaten Solok Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Phosphate is an important element for determining the fertility of waters and a limiting factor for the growth of phytoplankton. A research aims to understand the vertical profile of phosphate in Diatas Lake was conducted in February - March 2017. Water samples were taken from 3 stations, namely Station 1 (inlet area), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake) and Station 3 (outlet area). The vertical sampling was based on transparency, at the surface, 2 Secchi depth (7 m), 4 Secchi depth (14 m), 6 Secchi depth (21 m) and in the bottom of the lake. Water quality parameter measured were depth, temperature, transparency, pH, dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide. Results shown the phosphate concentration in the surface was 0.04 - 0.07 mg/L, in 2 Secchi depth 0.05 – 0.08 mg/L, 4 Secchi depth 0.06 – 0.10 mg/L, 6 Secchi depth 0.09 – 0.10 mg/L and in the bottom was 0.08-0.14 mg/L. Water quality parameter values were as follow: temperature 180C – 200C, 14.75 m – 40.35 m depth, transparency 3.04 – 3.24 m, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 6.4-7.1 mg/L, carbon dioxide 6.4-8.1 mg/L. The Diatas Lake can be categorized as oligotrophic to mesotrophic.
