Implementasi Program Wajib Belajar Pendidikan Dasar 9 Tahun: Studi Kasus Pada Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syekh Burhanudin Kuntu Kecamatan Kampar Kiri
This study was aimed to describe the implementation of the 9 Year Compulsory Basic Education Program at Salafiah Syekh Buhanudin Kuntu Islamic Boarding School on the implementation of curriculum, teaching and learning process, assessment of learning achievement, teaching staff, and parents’ perception towards the program.
This study employed the qualitative approach and the data were obtained from the chairperson of the boarding school, head of ‘Wustho’, school committee, teachers, students and parents. The data were collected using triangulation technique through interview, observation and documentation.
The findings of the study showed that the implementation of the Compulsory Basic Education was very good based on the technical guidance provided by Directorate for Primary Education and Islamic Boarding School, the Ministry of Religious Education of the Republic of Indonesia 2011 with reference to the Government Regulation No. 19/2005 on National Education Standard. However, there is a weakness in the implementation of the program because it has been under the coordination of two ministries, Ministry of Religious Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
