Kualitas Air Dan Keanekaragaman Jenis Fitoplankton Di Danau Pinang Luar Desa Buluhcina Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
In the areas around the Pinang Luar Lake, there are activities such as oil palm plantations and ilegall loging. Those activities, however, produce pollutant that enter the water and thus reducing its quality. To understand the water quality of the lake based the diversity of phytoplankton, a research was conducted from February to March 2017. There were 4 stations, in the inlet (St 1), middle area (St 2 and St 3), and in the outlet (St 4). Water samples were taken 3 times, once/ 2 weeks. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, brightness, turbidity, depth, total suspended solid, pH, dissolved oxygen, free CO2, BOD5, nitrate and phosphate and types of phytoplankton present. Results shown that there were 4 classes of phytoplankton present, namely Chlorophyceae (12 species), Cyanophyceae (7 species), Bacillariophyceae (10 species) dan Euglenaphyceae (1 species). In general, phytoplankton density was 445-911 cells/L, H’ was 4,200-2,762 cells/L, C was 0.056-0.052 cells/L dan E was 0.856-0.907 cells/L. Water quality parameters are as follows : temperature 29-30 ºC, brightness 27-42 cm, turbidity 4.00-6.00 NTU, depth 290-390 cm, TSS 16.0-19.8 mg/L, pH 5, DO 5.20-6.90 mg/L, free CO2 4.60-5.40 mg/L, BOD5 5.00-5.60 mg/L, nitrate 0.02-0.04 mg/L, dan phosphate 0.018-0.05 mg/L. The value of the WQI-NSF index was 50.99-51, indicates that the lake is on moderate condition.
