Morfometrik, Meristik Dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Toman (Channa Micropeltes Cuvier, 1831) Di Danau Pinang Luar Desa Buluhcina Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Channa micropeltes or toman fish is freshwater fish that live in the Pinang Luar Lake and it has high economical value. Information on biological aspects of this fish such as morphometric, meristic, and growth pattern is rare. To understand those characteristics, a research has been conducted from April-May 2017. There were 96 fishes (130-570 mm TL and 17.5-1800 gr BW) captured. Twenty six morphometrical characteristics measured and 8 meristical characteristics counted. Result shown that most of morphological characteristics are isometric to TL, but there was negative alometric pattern in distance between mouth and dorsal fin, and positive alometric pattern in body depth. Male and female shown no difference in morphological characteristics, but the head form of female was blunt and that of the male was slightly pointed. The meristical characteristics were as follows: D.42-44.2, P.15-17, V.5-6, A.27-29.2, C.15-16, the number of scale in the pre-dorsal fin was 11-23, around the body was 40-44, in the caudal peduncle was 15-16, and in the lateral line was 88-90. The length-weight relationship shown that the growth pattern of the fish is positive allometric, b=3.191 in male, and 3.163 in female.
