Pengaruh Limbah Cair Sagu Terhadap Kualitas Air Sungai Melibur Desa Mengkirau Kecamatan Putri Puyu Kepulauan Meranti Riau
Sago factory in the Mengkirau Village usually flow the sago liquid waste directly to the Melibur River and it affects the water quality in general. A research aims to understand the impact of the disposal of sago liquid water to the river has been conducted in April 2017. There were 4 stations, namely Station 1 (upstream), Station 2 (fresh liquid waste), Station 3 (in the drainage of sago factory) and Station 4 (downstream). Water samples were taken once/ 3 days, three times. Water quality parameters measured were temperature, pH, COD, TSS, DO, transparency, current speed and depth. Result shown that in the wastewater, the temperature 27.6-29.6 0C; pH 4.29-4.45 ; COD 569.6-854 mg /L; TSS 509.3-1627.7 mg /L. The values of COD and TSS were over the standard values of wastewater issued by the Indonesian Government (PerMen LH No.05, 2014). In the water of the Melibur River, the transparency 10.03-21.5 cm; current speed 0.5-0.6 m/s; depth 2.5-2.7 m; temperature 28-29 0C; pH 4.09-4.25; DO 2.4 mg/L; COD 178.3 mg/L; TSS 64.6-176.6 mg/L. The value of COD, TSS, DO and pH were over the standard values (PP 82 Tahun 2001) and it can be categorized as polluted.
