Pengaruh Kedalaman Sarang Telur Penyu Lekang (Lepidochelys Olivacea) Terhadap Masa Inkubasi Penetasan Semi Alami Di Upt Konservasi Penyu Kota Pariaman Sumatera Barat
The incubation period and hatching rate of turtle eggs are influenced by temperature and humidity of the nest, thus the nest depth may affects those factors. To determine the best nest depth for L. olivacea eggs, a study has been conducted in March - May 2017. A Complete Random Design with four treatment and three replications was used, they were, P0 (40 cm), P1 (50 cm), P2 (60 cm), P3 (70 cm). Results shown that the nest depth affects the incubation period and hatching rate of L.olivacea. The best result was in 60 cm depth, as there was 91,06% and 50.33 days incubation. In other treatments, there were 71.06% and 69.30% days incubation (40 cm), 80% and 63 days incubation (50 cm), and 55.5% with 51.67% days incubation (70 cm).
