Morfometrik, Meristik, Dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Juaro (Pangasius Polyuranodon Blekeer, 1862) Di Sungai Siak Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau
Pangasius polyuronodon or juaro fish is freshwater fish that inhabit the Siak River. To understand the morphometrical, meristical characteristics and growth pattern of this fish, a research had been conducted from May-July 2017. There were 100 fishes (200-73.57 mm SL and 103.0-5.5 gr BW) were captured from the Siak River. There were 28 characteristics measured and 5 meristical characteristics counted. Results shown that most of morphological characteristics are isometric to SL, but there was negative alometric pattern in total length and head length and positive alometric pattern in the distance between the rear basal part of dorsal fin to the caudal fin. Male and female shown no difference in morphological characteristic, but male color is darker than the female. The meristical characteristic of the fish were as follow: D.II.5-8, P.I-II.4-15, V.I.6-9, A.-.30-40, C.-.29-40. The length-weight relationship shown that the growth of male and female is almost isometric, b=2.671 for male and b=2.862 for female fish.
