Analisis Permintaan Ikan Laut Segar Di Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau

This study aims to describe the characteristics of consumers as well as analyze the factors that affect the demand for fresh marine fish. The method used in this research is survey method. Analysis of the research on the demand of fresh marine fish in Tebing Tinggi District using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The characteristics of fresh marine fish consumers in Tebing Tinggi District are majority of productive age, high school education, housewife, and medium income (IDR 1.000.000-5.000.000) with 4-5 household members. The influence of independent variables such as the price of fresh marine fish (X1), household income (X3) and number of household members (X4) have a significant influence and the price of chicken meat (X2) had no significant influence on the demand for fresh marine fish in Tebing Tinggi District.
