The company in support of its activities to make efforts such as the empowerment of qualified human resources to be able to run the production activities that prioritize quality, amount of production and lower costs in order to continue to face fierce competition from competitors the same business. Sufficient human resources play an important role in achieving these objectives. This study investigates several factors that affect the performance of employees of PT. "X" Pangkalan Kerinci, especially in terms of recruitment, performance appraisal and compensation payments through increased motivation.
This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe some of the factors that affect performance through quantitative descriptive approach. This type of research conducted by survey method, this is in accordance with the purpose of research to identify and analyze human resource activities in relation to recruitment, performance appraisal and compensation payments on employee motivation for improving employee performance.
The research was conducted at PT. "X" is addressed at Pangkalan Kerinci Pangkalan Kerinci District of Pangkalan Kerinci Pelalawan Riau Province. The results showed that the compensation is significantly positive effect on the improvement of employee motivation, while the motivation itself directly significantly positive effect on employee performance. This suggests that increasing the motivation will have an impact on employee performance improvement. While recruitment and performance appraisal directly no significant effect on motivation and performance assessment and compensation payments directly also did not significantly affect the performance.
Based on the research results submitted suggestions to the company in order to achieve good performance, the management should maintain several factors such as job performance, employee performance recognition, a conducive relationship between employees and co-workers and bosses, and some of the policies implemented by the management. For further research in order to develop and use more variables and involve many respondents in conducting research so as to produce better results.
