Mediation is a form of negotiation between the disputing parties and the third party involved with the aim of helping to achieve a settlement that is compromised. Inside the Law Number 30 Year 1999 concerning Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, that Article 6 paragraph (3) Arbitration Act states that: "In the event a dispute or difference of opinion can not be resolved, then the written agreement of the parties disputes or disagreements resolved through the help of a professional advisor or over or through a mediator ". Divorce disputes in Indigenous communities in the Village District kualu Kampar Regency Mines settlement process is done through mediation does not run in accordance with applicable regulations. Based on the above authors are interested in doing research entitled "Implementation of Mediation in Divorce Cases on Indigenous Peoples in the Village District Kualu Kampar Regency Mines". Based on the purpose of this study, the authors formulate three objectives, namely: first, to determine the role Ninik Mamak in Divorce Dispute resolution by mediation that occurred in indigenous communities in the Village District Mine Kualu Kampar District, Second, to determine the use of mediation in resolving disputes Indigenous communities in the Village divorce Kualu Mining District Kampar District, Third, to determine the model of mediation used in the divorce settlement of indigenous people in the village Kualu Mining District Kampar regency. This type of research is to conduct sociological research directly to the location of the research in this village subdistrict Kualu Kampar Regency Mines. Sources of data used in this research is primary data, secondary data, and data tertiary. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, questionnaires and literature study. The data analysis in this study is a qualitative analysis using the deductive method of drawing conclusions from things that are common to the things that are special. Based on the results of this study concluded, the First nonformil Ninik Mamak role in everything that happens within the community, including dealing with marriage. Both the execution of the divorce settlement on Indigenous communities in the Village District Kualu Kampar Regency Mines has struck a deal with the process of mediation conducted by the mediator Ninik Mamak. Third, that the reason for the disputing parties choose mediation as a means of dispute resolution is that voluntary, the procedure is simple, a professional mediator and the costs are lightweight and Therapeutic mediation models. For it is expected that the parties to implement the mediation or agreement in good faith and synergize intern ninik mamak as mediator so they can carry out their duties properly.
