Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Tindakan Dokter Praktik Umum Swasta Di Kecamatan Tampan Dan Senapelan Terhadap Diagnosis Dan Tatalaksana Tuberkulosis Paru Berdasarkan International Standards For Tuberculosis Care (ISTC)
Indonesia is the second country with the highest burden pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) cases worldwide in 2015. One of the province with lowest Case Detection Rate (CDR) is Riau Province with 35,7 % in 2013. Private general practitioners become a choice for most patients in pulmonary TB’s treatment, but the use of ISTC as a new guidelines for TB care is still lacking, so it needs to be assessed how the characteristics, knowledge, attitude and practice of private general practitioners towards ISTC. This is a descriptive study with survey method using questionnaire which has been conducted amongst 30 private general practitioners at District Tampan and Senapelan on November 2016. Inclusion’s criteria for this study are general practitioners who only work in private practice/clinic/clinic with pharmacy, have practice’s license, fill in informed consent and criteria of exclusion which is general practitioners who are not in the place after three times of visitation. The questionnaire is about the knowledge, attitude and practice of pulmonary TB’s diagnosis and management by ISTC. The results were 13 of them (43,3 %) had enough knowledge, 26 (86,7 %) doctors had positive attitude and 21 (70 %) doctors have enough practice. This results indicate that general practitioners still need training to improving public health, especially in TB cases at District Tampan and Senapelan.
