Karakteristik Pertumbuhan Pelepah Sawit Dengan Menggunakan Fiber Bragg Grating Moda Tunggal
. The increase in oil palm plantations area will increase the oil palm plantation crops. Besides the results in oil palm fresh fruit bunches, the oil palm also produces waste in the form of pulp stems, leaves and midrib. Results of waste in palm midrib are very much in keeping with the age of oil palm itself. Therefore, the growth of palm oil can be predicted by knowing the length of midrib caused by natural growth. It is necessary to determine the characteristics of growth and influence of palm midrib over the age. Determination of increment of midrib length can be used by Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG), single mode imposed by wavelength source 1 mW, 1550 nm. FBG measures the palm tree aged six months for two samples and twelve months for two samples which is set 15 cm from midrib arm. The maximum length is found at sample A, 30592.13 nm (during 42 days) whereas the minimum is found at sampel C, 953.85 nm (during 42 days). This length increment is recorded from optical powermeter with the same power input of -5 dBm. These values are also affected by a connector of FBG with powerlosses measurement. This means that FBG has changed the shrink age process in one side and the stretchin another of midrib growth naturally. The results describe the approach of graph references to power output by calculation, and produce a logarithm function over the time for each sample.
