Tuberculosis is still being world’s health problem, in Indonesia incidence number of TB is still high and ranks the second highest cause of death because of infection after HIV. Riau province is one of the province with lowest case detection rate in 2015 which compromises 43% (4.393) cases, 1% higher than that in 2014 which was 42% (4286) cases. Patients who have undergone TB treatment came to three main FPK which are hospital, community health center , private doctor become a choice for most patients in pulmonary tb’s treatment but TB treatments in most of the hospitals and private doctor has not met the standard of DOTS’ strategy based on ISTC. This research used cross sectional with descriptive methods using questionnaire given to 32 private general practitioners in Marpoyan Damai and Bukit Raya District in Pekanbaru from October to November 2016. Questionnaire consisted of questions asking about knowledge, attitude and practice. From 32 private general practitioners, 15 (46,9%) of them had good knowledge, 13 (40,6%) and 4 (12,5%) of them had enough and less knowledge respectively. Attitude of the private general practitioners categorized as negative was 18(56,3%) and 14(43,8%) was found to be positive. 16 (50%) practices of the private general practitioners were categorized as good, 13 (40,6%) and 3(9,4%) were categorized as enough and less respectively.
