Identifikasi Nyamuk Spesies Anopheles Di Kecamatan Rengat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu

Malaria is an importantworld health problemthat threatened life, especially in high risk group such as infants, toddlers and pregnant women. Rengat district Indragiri Hulu regency is the second-highest Annual Parasite Incidence (API) in Riau Province 0,58 per 1000 population. One of influencing factor related to high malaria cases is Anopheles as malaria vector. The purpose of this study was to know about Anopheles mosquitoes species and breeding sites at Rengat district Indragiri Hulu regency. The sampling method was consecutive sampling with afternoon breeding sites observation and water sampling and night landing collection. The result showed that out of 489 mosquitoes with 43 Anopheles caught consist of Anopheles subpictus 100%. From 10 which were suspected as the mosquito breeding sites, only onemarsh was identified as Anopheles larva sites.In conclusion, Anopheles subpictus wasAnopheles species at Rengat district Indragiri Hulu regency and marsh was the breeding site of Anopheles mosquito.
