Gambaran kejadian menggigil pasien pasca seksio sesarea dengan anestesi spinal yang ditambahkan klonidin 15 mcg intratekal di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Post Anesthetic Shivering (PAS) is a common phenomenon in caesarean section. Recent study reported there were 37-57% cases from all caesarean section procedure. It is caused by anesthesia procedure that can depressed thermoregulation system. Shivering must be prevented because it can cause patient discomfort. Clonidine is α2 adrenergic partial agonist that can be used as adjuvant of spinal anesthesia and has anti-shivering effect. The purpose of this study was to know the prevalence of shivering, characteristic of shivering, and vital sign changes of post spinal anesthesia in caesarean section with 15 mcg intrathecal clonidine. The method of this study was descriptive. The observation made in central operation installation and recovery room in emergency installation of Arifin Achmad General Hospital of Riau Province with 23 patient as a minimum sample. From 63 caesarean section patient, there were 32 patient that got into inclusion criteria. The result of this study showed that 3 from 32 patient (9,37%) had shivering. Based on grading of shivering, 29 patient (90,63%) had shivering grade 0, 2 patient (6,25%) had shivering grade 1, and 1 patient (3,12%) had shivering grade 4. There were only a slight change of body temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate in this study.
