Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease with a fairly high incidence in Indonesia with a total of 324 539 cases Notified in 2015. In order to overcome TB, government has implemented Directly Observed Treatment Short-course (DOTS) strategy and based on International Standards for Tuberculosis care (ISTC). Supervising of diagnosis and management TB is needed to make it according to the standard. This study want to know how is the Private General Practicioner's characteristics (DPUS) and know the knowledge, attitudes and practices of DPUS on diagnosing and managing TB based on International Standards for Tuberculosis Care (ISTC). This study using cross sectional descriptive method with questionnaire. Sample of this study are 31 DPUS in Pelalawan taken by total sampling who have License's Practice, filling in a questionnaire and sign in informed consent. The data is processed and being analyzed using univariate analysis to determine the frequency and percentage distribution. Based on the results, characteristics of DPUS are between 24-30 years old (48.4%) and 58.1% DPUS are female. knowledge of DPUS mostly is good (64.5%), enough (25.8%) and less (9.7%). DPUS have a positive attitude (54.8%) and negative attitude (45.2%). Practices of DPUS is good (67.7%), enough (25.8%) and less (6.5%). This results indicate that DPUS have good knowledge, attitudes and practice on diagnosis and management of pulmonary tuberculosis by ISTC.
