Analisis Perilaku Tiang Tunggal Akibat Beban Aksial Tekan Dengan Metode Empirik Dan Elemen Hingga
Generally in practice pile design is conducted by calculating bearing capacity only, mainly from penetration test results. However in reality pile behaviour under axial load is influenced by many factors. This study investigated factors affecting single pile behaviour under axial load. The research was conducted by utilizing simple empirical elastic method (Poulus & Davis; Randolp & Worth) and finite element method. Simulations and case studies were performed using both methods. The results shows that sitfness ratio between soil and pile and distribution of load between skin and end of pile has significant effect on pile settlement. Larger ratio of pile length and diameter gives smaller pile settlement and more load is carried by pile shaft. Both elastic methods tends to have similar performace on homogenous soils but on non homogenous soils Randolp & Wroth’s method give better results than Poulos&Davis method. Case studies shows finite element method (OPTUMG2 software) gives load settlement relationships that are relatively close to the result from static load tests. Likewise finite element’s ultimate pile capacities which are relatively similar to static load interpretation using Chin’s and Davisson’s method.
